2012 Kid's Triathlon | Winchendon, Massachusetts 01475 ...

The Clark Memorial YMCA is presenting the sixth annual Kids Triathlon on July 14th, starting at 3pm. Participants will compete in three different age categories 7 & 8 years olds who will swim 25 yards, bike 1 mile and run .33 mile (one lap around the Y track). 9 & 10 year old athletes will be swimming 50 yards, biking 1.2 miles and running 0.65 miles. Our oldest group (11&12 years old) will swim 75 yards, bike 1.5 miles and run 1 mile.

All participants will receive a medal, a t-shirt (only guaranteed for preregistered athletes) and a goody bag. The event will be timed and both male and female winners of each age group will receive special recondition.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register, but registration will also be available at 2pm on the day of the event. The children will swim at the Clark YMCA pool, bike on the bike path in Winchendon and run on the Clark YMCA track.

We have great support for this years race! The Winchendon Kiwanis volunteers will be doing free bike and helme

2012 Morin Real Estate 5K Road Race and McDonald's ...

If you enjoy fun and a moderately challenging 5K Road Races then this scenic run is just for you! The small town of Winchendon takes great pride in welcoming runners from near and far. We offer a great experience for "first timers" as well as the "seasoned" runner. We have great music, a professional timing company, awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group, flowers and trophies for overall winners (male and female), special trophy for the "Run to Represent" winner, great refreshments and awesome giveaways including I-pods and a free triathlon race entry, but that's not all! We are known to pay great attention to details like having refreshing ice cold towels at the finish line, a beautifully performed National Anthem and complimentary massages for all participants. We have showers available after the race, and our Annual Summer Solstice Parade and Fair start just after the race is over!

The overall winners are welcome to participate in the parade through the town at 11am (we will have a cool convertible ready for you!) to celebrate their achievement! The race will start at 8:00 am. We hope to see you in June!
